hey guys, i've been pimo going on full inactive for a very long time, 5+ years.

pretty happy with the current situation.

over the years, i've gotten lots of grief from the local elders and cos for my inactivity, attending wordly public events and social media posts.

Oh my, what a mess your in.... what a tangled web.

WT is totally against 'having your cake and eating it too', and if you have 'been in' until now, you should know it.

Lately, conventions, magazines, talks and everything are geared to 'shunning anyone and anything that is not "totally in."'

I am sorry, you should just get the most out of life that you can. Be happy, be merry, and do not worry about JWs.... Be prepared, you most likely will lose your mum and dad. (look at the Pale Emperor's post "I just saw my mom the first time in 3 years")

she was on one of the witnessing carts in town at a station i don’t usually get off at.

i did today as i was dropping my daughter off somewhere.

I am with you, Pale. I don't even think of my "mother" as "my mother".... she is just another person.

JW's do not even encourage a close 'family' relationship if all are IN the Borg..... it is all about :

*studying for the meetings, going to the meetings, and field service (good boy, good girl)

*Do you know your books of the bible? (good boy, good girl)

* We are going on vacation and will still go to the meetings.

Some families connect on a personal level, most do not... and that is the simply sad but true part. That is why parents can leave their children behind....

They sure seem arrogant to me... First, they basically lie to the courts when they say 'we don't keep records of pedophiles', then they get caught by a statement that they made, Irwin recognized it, made them say that they do keep records, then the WT says "It will take us sooooooo long to find them, print them, whatever them" ..... THEN the WT refuses to turn over evidence, being fined $4,000 (?) a day..... Probably so that they would have time to redact any information that would be of value when they finally did cave in and turn the evidence over.

When the 'disturbing' content of these blue envelopes are revealed, it may be another story. When they realize that the 'upper brass' knew about these terrible tragedies and let abusers abuse, we will really be able to see the depth of mind control then.

The Watchtower Society want basic human rights but ''somehow'' deny disfellowshipped members theirs

jehovah’s witnesses imprisoned for their faith—by location.

locations where jehovah’s witnesses are put in prison, sometimes under harsh conditions, for practicing their faith and exercising basic human rights.. .

others are imprisoned for their conscientious objection to military service.. watchtower society: please don't lecture anyone on the denial of basic human rights when you take away the rights of disfellowshipped family members associating with their family and friends!.

nbc new york is claiming "attorneys are expected on monday to announce the filing of lawsuits in king's county supreme court against eight members of the governing body of the jehovah's witnesses for alleged child sexual abuse claims.".

a month ago i sent a letter to the us branch about 607. my purpose for sending it was because i wanted to show to my parents through the letters the truth behind the date system.

two days ago, i received a response from them.

I like the itty bitty teeny tiny quote from the 2011 WT... which says (basically) 'if you go by the business tablets from Babylon's very own time period (instead of the huge picture of a rock (from 200 years later, from a different country) with a crack thru it, featured, highlighted, debated and discussed in detail as if it were the messiah of all discoveries) then Babylons fall was in 587. Period.

All of the blabbering they do in those two articles (cleverly broken up into two different months so you can't remember the "we'll discuss this later" crap they always do to divert your attention) is only done to make themselves look like they have done soooo much research.

his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .

no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.

Desirous of Change / DOC..... Yes, it is true. My husband was an elder, and had to testify against the WT in a child abuse case. The WT waited until the case was dismissed in Summary Judgement and then DF'd my husband, my two sons, and the uncle of the child who was abused.

I asked my mother (who is still a Jdub) if she would still talk to us "after the case", as I knew from reading many other experiences that after you testify, after you 'tell the truth', and if you 'talk', you WILL BE DF'd. It came true, just as I predicted... they were disfellowshipped, like many others. The WT does not want you to talk.
